Description of the Volkswagen ID.3 electric car
The Volkswagen ID.3 electric car is the first car in the popular Future Series. Previously, only one conceptual omen—ID—had been proposed. The model made its debut in Frankfurt in September 2019. The basis of this electric vehicle is the modular MEB platform, which is the basis for the subsequently released vehicles ID.4 and ID.6.
The electric car’s safety was confirmed by Euro NCAP crash tests and it received the highest number of stars. The triple lithium battery with a capacity of 52.8 kWh provides an impressive range of 450 kilometers and a battery warranty of 8 years (China) or 160,000 kilometers.
Visually, the rear-wheel-drive hatchback is unlike anything previously released. Sleek and futuristic on the outside but uncluttered on the inside, the ID.3 has become a favorite among today’s eco-conscious city dwellers.
Features of Volkswagen ID.3
The overall size of ID.3 is 4261*1778*1568 mm. The electric vehicle’s wheelbase reaches a record-breaking 2,765 mm for its class, which allows the interior space to be expanded, adding extra comfort and space. The Volkswagen ID.3 is available in two rear-wheel-drive trim levels, each of which has been upgraded for 2023.

The latest two versions of the Volkswagen ID.3 include automatic parking, rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA), lane change assist (SA), road sign assist (RSA) and mirror memory. They have a cup holder and a rear armrest, and the steering wheel is leather. version comes with heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof on the roof. There are also benefits in terms of lighting – Matrix headlights with Steering Assist (AFS) and a special mode for fog and rain, adaptive high and low beams. Additionally, several additional options are available.
Compared with the previous version, the upgraded Volkswagen ID.3 not only has improvements in appearance and interior, but also provides drivers and passengers with 360° panoramic images and electric seat adjustment functions.
The visual difference between the two version IDs is tire size: 215/55R18 for the Pure and 215/45R20 for the Pro Extreme Smart.

It’s hard to see anything inside the ID.3. After all, it is a basic model. Interior materials are partly made from recycled plastic, and there’s a touchscreen unit on the steering wheel. The central control is a 10-inch LCD screen. HUD and augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) systems are available as options.
