Description of the Toyota bZ3 electric car
Toyota bZ3 2023 is a new five-seater electric car created by the famous brand together with the BYD and FAW concerns. Sales of the car started in the Chinese market at the end of March 2023. The price of the sedan is more than attractive and is about a third lower than, for example, the Tesla Model 3. The electric car is based on the global e-TNGA platform, the same basis has already been used in the Toyota bZ4x . As for the main characteristics, the manufacturer claims that the car’s power reserve can reach 616 km, and only 0.45 hours is enough to quickly charge the Fudi brand battery (a subsidiary of BYD).
Characteristics of Toyota bZ3
The Toyota bZ3 2023 model range is presented in three trim levels:
- Elite Pro
- Long Battery Life PRO
- Long Battery Life Premium
The overall dimensions of the front-wheel drive Toyota bZ3 electric sedan are 4725x1835x1475 mm (the Elite PRO version has a height of 5 mm more), the wheelbase is 2880 mm. The tire size is the same for all – 225/50 R18. The basic version is equipped with an electric motor producing 184 hp. (303 N⋅m) and a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 49.9 kWh, demonstrates a range of 517 km. The other two versions have 245 hp. (303 N⋅m) under the hood and a battery capacity of 65.3 kWh.
All three bZ3 variants have a similar top speed of 160 km/h. The electric car is adequately equipped with active and passive safety functions. It has a lane departure warning system, emergency braking system and adaptive cruise control. The premium version of Toyota has literally everything that concerns the Elite Pro and Long Battery Life Pro, then here the warning of open road (DOW), rear collision warning, reversing warning, lane change assistance (SA) and 360° panoramic image are additional options.
Toyota bZ3 interior
The body of the Toyota bZ3 2023 has a streamlined appearance with pronounced sharp stampings, especially a lot of them in the design of the hood, bumper and door cards. The interior is spacious, made of artificial leather, and is distinguished by its decent performance and thoughtfulness. The electric car inside is equipped with a huge 12.8” vertical touchscreen and a compact instrument panel. The steering wheel attracts with its shape – it has beveled upper and lower parts. The turn signals are controlled by buttons on the steering wheel spokes, and special joysticks are installed for the windshield wiper and external lighting.
The seats will give a feeling of indescribable comfort to both the driver and passengers; they are all conveniently adjustable. For the convenience of passengers, the Toyota bZ3 features automatic dual-zone air conditioning and multiple USB/Type-C ports at the front and rear. The Premium also has rear cup holders and an armrest. The roof of the Japanese sedan is decorated with a panoramic opening sunroof. The audio system will delight music lovers with its impeccable sound; it is represented by 6 speakers in the “Pro” versions and 7 in the “Premium” version.
